What is a loft ladder?
The ladder has to suit the floor-to-ceiling height, the hatch size and the space on the landing where it lands. Ladders with an integrated insulated hatch are the neatest option because they replace the old hatch completely. More about a loft ladder.

Questions about a loft ladder in Newport, Gwent
Can a landlord in Newport, Gwent book work for a tenanted house?
Yes. We can arrange access with the tenant directly and send you photos once the work is finished.
Do you cover all of NP20?
Yes, we cover the NP20 postcode district and the districts around Newport, Gwent.
Is loft work in Newport, Gwent different from anywhere else?
The method is the same, but older terraces, cottages and newer estates each have their own quirks: lath ceilings, low pitches or trussed roofs. We plan for the loft we find.
What size hatch do I need for a loft ladder?
Most standard ladders need an opening of about 550 by 700 mm or more. We check the model against your hatch before ordering.
Can you fit a loft light at the same time?
We can arrange it. A new lighting circuit is notifiable electrical work, so we use a registered electrician.
