Questions about sheep's wool or natural loft insulation in Weston-super-Mare

Do you take on jobs outside Weston-super-Mare?

Yes. We also work in Burnham-on-Sea and Clevedon and elsewhere in Somerset.

Is loft work in Weston-super-Mare different from anywhere else?

The method is the same, but older terraces, cottages and newer estates each have their own quirks: lath ceilings, low pitches or trussed roofs. We plan for the loft we find.

Can a landlord in Weston-super-Mare book work for a tenanted house?

Yes. We can arrange access with the tenant directly and send you photos once the work is finished.

How deep does natural insulation need to be?

It depends on the product's thermal conductivity. Some need slightly more depth than mineral wool to reach the same U-value, which we allow for on the quote.

Is sheep's wool insulation worth the extra cost?

In an older breathable house, or if you care about the material, often yes. In a modern semi with plasterboard ceilings the extra cost buys little performance.
