What is a loft condensation investigation?

We inspect the loft in daylight and by torch, measure moisture in the timbers, check the underlay, ventilation, insulation and the routes that let warm air in from the house, and look at the roof from outside. You get written findings with photos and a plain list of what we recommend, which may include work we do not offer. More about a loft condensation investigation.

Questions about a loft condensation investigation in Llandrindod Wells

How soon can you visit a home in Llandrindod Wells?

We call you back to agree a time that suits you, and confirm the date in writing. Availability changes week to week, so we will give you the earliest slot we have.

Do you cover all of LD1?

Do you take on jobs outside Llandrindod Wells?

Yes. We also work in Builth Wells and Newtown and elsewhere in Powys.

Can loft insulation cause condensation?

It can expose an existing problem: the loft gets colder, so the same moist air condenses more readily. Ventilation and sealing air leaks put it right.

Is condensation in my loft normal?

A little on the coldest nights can be normal, especially with old felt. Dripping, wet insulation or mould are signs to investigate.
