What is a loft condensation investigation?
We inspect the loft in daylight and by torch, measure moisture in the timbers, check the underlay, ventilation, insulation and the routes that let warm air in from the house, and look at the roof from outside. You get written findings with photos and a plain list of what we recommend, which may include work we do not offer. More about a loft condensation investigation.

Why book with us in Pontypool

Fixed written price
The price on the quote is the price you pay. It only changes if you change the job, or if we find something hidden, such as rot, and you agree the change in writing first.
How much does a loft condensation investigation cost in Pontypool?
This work is not an energy-saving material for VAT, so it is standard-rated if VAT applies. Where it is done alongside insulation, the quote shows each part separately.
Building regulations in Wales
Wales has its own Approved Document L. Insulation alone is not normally notified, but conversions need building control. How the rules work across the UK.
Questions about a loft condensation investigation in Pontypool
Will I get a written quote for work in Pontypool?
Yes. Every quote is in writing with the work, the price and what is included, so you can compare it properly.
Do you charge extra to travel to Pontypool?
Not normally. Our guide prices include normal travel to Pontypool. If an address needs a ferry or an unusually long journey, we tell you the cost before you book.
Can a landlord in Pontypool book work for a tenanted house?
Yes. We can arrange access with the tenant directly and send you photos once the work is finished.
Can loft insulation cause condensation?
It can expose an existing problem: the loft gets colder, so the same moist air condenses more readily. Ventilation and sealing air leaks put it right.
Is the investigation fee taken off the work?
The investigation is priced on its own so the advice is not tied to selling work. You decide what to do afterwards.
