What is a loft condensation investigation?
We inspect the loft in daylight and by torch, measure moisture in the timbers, check the underlay, ventilation, insulation and the routes that let warm air in from the house, and look at the roof from outside. You get written findings with photos and a plain list of what we recommend, which may include work we do not offer. More about a loft condensation investigation.

Why book with us in Limavady
Written findings
You get photos and a plain list of what we found and what we would do about it.
Fixed written price
The price on the quote is the price you pay. It only changes if you change the job, or if we find something hidden, such as rot, and you agree the change in writing first.
Plain-English advice
We explain what we find in plain English, and say so when nothing needs doing.
No pressure selling
You get everything in writing and decide in your own time.
How much does a loft condensation investigation cost in Limavady?
This work is not an energy-saving material for VAT, so it is standard-rated if VAT applies. Where it is done alongside insulation, the quote shows each part separately.
Building regulations in Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland has its own Building Regulations, with energy guidance in Technical Booklet F1. Upgrading loft insulation may count as a thermal alteration, so check with your council's building control. How the rules work across the UK.
Questions about a loft condensation investigation in Limavady
Do you charge extra to travel to Limavady?
Not normally. Our guide prices include normal travel to Limavady. If an address needs a ferry or an unusually long journey, we tell you the cost before you book.
How do I pay for work in Limavady?
Payment terms are set out on your quote. We never ask for payment on the doorstep or in cash.
Will I get a written quote for work in Limavady?
Yes. Every quote is in writing with the work, the price and what is included, so you can compare it properly.
Is the investigation fee taken off the work?
The investigation is priced on its own so the advice is not tied to selling work. You decide what to do afterwards.
Is condensation in my loft normal?
A little on the coldest nights can be normal, especially with old felt. Dripping, wet insulation or mould are signs to investigate.
